The location of the Residence Inn in National Harbor cannot be beat! The view from our room was breathtaking and we were a quick jump away from the CVS, all the restaurants we wished to visit, and the Christmas Tree (we were there Nov 16th).
We were also RIGHT across the street from the Gaylord National Harbor and we’re able to pop in and look at the Christmas decorations.

Most Residence Inn’s are very good about having options for their gluten intolerant guests. When we got to the breakfast, I asked what there was. The woman told me I was out of luck. I pointed out that there was a sign that said they had gluten free options; alas – she was able to find me something.
Most Residence Inn’s have little areas where you can get a pint of ice cream or the like. This particular one had some very good looking stuff.
Parking! You can park in the garage across the street, we didn’t know, and wished we had.
